KISSIMMEE — The Osceola County Sheriff
Office is asking for the public’s help in finding whoever is responsible for fatally shooting a man in Kissimmee earlt this morning.
Detectives are asking for anyone who has information about the shooting to contact the sheriff’s office at 407-348-2222.
The investigation started very early Friday morning, when deputies got a call around 2:15 a.m. about gunshots in the parking lot of La Catina, a Mexican restaurant and bar. Deputies responded to the restaurant at 2654 N. Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee, where they found they shooting victim dead in the parking lot.
“Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased male, later identified as Humberto Escudero-Capoeuila, 43, lying in the parking lot,” noted Twis Lizasuain, the public information officer for the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, in her report on the death.
“Deputies spoke with several witnesses from the bar who indicated they heard gun shots and came outside,” she said.
The shooter had fled before deputies arrived.
“Based on the evidence at the scene and information obtained from witnesses, detectives are classifying the investigation as a homicide,” Lizasuain said, and asking for the public’s help finding whoever is responsible for the murder.

Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, while tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects are eligible for cash rewards of up to $5,000.
