MIAMI – Next Saturday, famed porn star Evan Stone will be making a run for it at Miami’s historic Virginia Key Beach Park, but it won’t be part of a scene in one of his upcoming X-rated opus movies.
Stone – the star of such porn epics as “Backdoor to Chyna” and “Space Nuts,” will be the headliner for the inaugural X Run in Miami – an event that will include a collection of adult stars and starlets, adult-themed exhibitors, and even a public awareness campaign about female genital mutilation – all in one day.
And it’s all being billed as an afternoon of good old adult fun for a solid cause.
The X Run will be held on Saturday at Virginia Key Beach Park, close to downtown Miami, and was organized by Kelly Perez, owner of Sensual Steals, which bills itself as “the best deals everyday on sexy items like lingerie,” and which is now offering a reduced price of $12.50 (down from $25) for a Multi Speed Remote Controlled SensaBullet.
This event was initially inspired not by sexual thoughts, but by a health crusade on the part of Perez, who went through a struggle with her weight. As she started a weight loss regiment, Perez’s ex-marine cousin began putting her through military-style drills – which included her first mud run.
Crawling through the grass, commando-style, Perez recalls that she hit a limit, then yelled at her cousin, “I sell sex toys for a living, I don’t do this type of s**t!”
As Perez noted, her cousin told her to stop complaining — and imagine she was crawling through a “penis tunnel.”
Bingo.
That, Perez noted, served as the ideal inspiration for the X Run.
The beach park, located at 4020 Virginia Beach Drive in Miami, has already signed up 4,800 registrants – including quite a few adult-themed exhibitors. Competitors in the mud run can enter on their own, as a pair, or in teams, and some of the proceeds from the run will go to Clitoraid, a nonprofit group that provides free medical service for the physical restoration and rehabilitation worldwide of women who are victims of female genital mutilation.
Perez said she also created this event to promote “sexual positivity and healthy living,” encouraging both novice and experienced runners to take part. The First Annual X Run is an untimed 5k (3.1 mile) obstacle course and mud run for men and women of all fitness levels. Competitors will tackle 14 obstacles with such titles as the Dominatrix Dungeon and the Blue Balls Dash.
Everyone who registers gets a free X Run T-shirt, one free beer ticket, a custom event medal and entry into the Post-Run Party – which will feature adult starlets, live music, food vendors, beer stands, a mud wrestling pit, and a Mr. and Ms. X Run Competition.
What not to expect: don’t look for any sex or nudity on the run, Perez said, although the organizers of the event are promising “There will be euphoric, non-stop action, plenty of physical challenges and lots and lots of mud.”
Stone, the star of the new show “Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Pornstar,” will be co-hosting this event, along with Playboy TV’s sexologist, Dr. Jess O’Reilly, and the hosts of the Playboy Radio show “Swing” with Mike and Holli.
Special guests will include Ash Armand of the Showtime program “Gigolos” and adult starlets Misty Stone and Luna Star.
