Polasek Museum is Selling the Paint Out Artwork

WINTER PARK — If you didn’t get a chance to stop by the annual Paint Out at the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, there’s good news: the actual artwork is going to be on sale at the Winter Park museum for the next few weeks.

“Add some color to your walls!” the Polasek declared.

A favorite spring event in Central Florida, the annual Paint Out “was a truly memorable event, celebrating the beauty and creativity of plein air art,” the Polasek noted. “If you didn’t get a chance to purchase a piece during the event, we have great news — the artwork is still available for sale! However, the sale ends in just a few weeks, so now is your chance to add some unique art to your collection.”

Those pieces of art created during this event can be viewed by visiting the museum or logging on to its Paint Out website.

What is the Winter Park Paint Out?

The 16th Annual Winter Park Paint Out was held on April 21-27 at the museum in Winter Park that is dedicated to preserving the works of the Czech sculptor Albin Polasek.

The event brought together 24 professional plein air artists to do what they do best: paint. Art lovers had the opportunity to watch them working, to attend free painting demonstrations, and to check out works on display as soon as they were completed.

Not only are all art works that were created during this event available for purchase, the sale is held for a good cause: a portion of the proceeds support the Museum and its mission.

“Whether you’re drawn to vivid landscapes or captivating city scenes, these artists have created extraordinary works that will enrich any collection,” the Polasek notes. “Don’t miss your chance to support these talented painters and bring home an original piece of art.”

The uniqueness of these plein air paintings, the museum staff noted, is that they “capture the essence of the moment, with artists creating their work outdoors, drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings.” The Polasek also noted that its online gallery is available to explore 24/7 and hosts “a diverse range of paintings from talented artists. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.”

Where is the Polasek Museum Located?

The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens is located at 633 Osceola Ave. in Winter Park, close to Rollins College and Park Avenue. It’s also a short walk to the popular Alfond Inn boutique hotel.

“Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of the Winter Park Paint Out and support these incredible artists and the Polasek Museum,” the museum noted. “Remember, the sale ends in just a few weeks, so be sure to check it out soon!”
